Organic Search Engine Optimization

Organic search engine optimization is a significant element of many online marketing campaigns. A business’s most important and most relevant keywords can result in a high Google rating; this, of course, equates to more business inquires and sales leads.

Online Marketing Strategy

Depending on the business model and its short-term, mid-term and long-term marketing goals, it makes sense to analyze the best starting point for the actual organic search engine optimization effort. For a new business that has website content and online profiles, but with little else in terms of marketing material, it should focus more on paid search engine marketing in order to generate sales right away before any organic search engine traffic can be generated.

For somewhat established websites with a good amount of keyword rich content, it makes sense to engage in search engine optimization and to literally optimize the existing content in order to improve the existing flow of sales inquiries. This is mainly based on analyzing the most lucrative (ratio between investment and ROI) keywords are and what the competitors are doing.

Our Principles

Our overall goal is to improve the volume and quality of traffic to a website from search engines via “organic” search results. The work performed mainly consists of changes to the website content and HTML code. Because effective SEO may require changes to the HTML code, SEO aspects are incorporated for all our projects during the web site development and design phases.

We do not engage in what is called “black hat SEO” or “Spamdexing”. We consider the creation of link farms, keyword stuffing and cloaking methods that could be defined as black hat SEO or spamdexing.

We only engage in techniques that search engines recommend since the goal is to produce long lasting results. Basically, our approach can be best summed up as: creating content for users, not for search engines, and then making that content easily accessible to the search engines, rather than attempting to trick the algorithm from its intended purpose. This approach eliminates backstepping and ensures long-term consistency.

Besides SEO

Due to search engines periodically changing their algorithms, there are no guarantees of continued website traffic and it is considered wise business practice for website owners to work on additional marketing strategies that are not related to search engines in order to create a healthy mix of marketing campaigns that will generate sales. By incorporating only organic SEO strategies, business owners run the risk of unpredictable ratings and without a multi-approach to one’s marketing efforts, this is considered risky, at best.

We also remind our clients that more search engine referrals do not guarantee more sales. Organic search engine optimization is not necessarily an appropriate strategy for every website at every stage of the life cycle and other Internet marketing strategies may be a better fit, such as paid advertising on search engines and industry relevant pages. The primary goal of organic SEO is to build high quality web pages that engage and persuade website visitors.
